Visibility

Two tabs in Edit Project decide who outside your team sees a project: Client, for your client's portal, and Public link, for anyone with the link.

01Client#

Click the ⋮ next to the project's name and pick Edit Project. Open the Client tab. The top card holds the Client name, Website, Launch date and Hourly rate. The rate feeds Time & billing in Reports, and the launch date shows in the client portal.

02Client access#

Below it, Client access lists who sees this project in their portal. Type a client's email and click Share. Clients see this project and nothing else, and they're always free.

Tick what clients can do here: comment on tasks, approve or request changes, and send new requests. They only see tasks you mark visible to the client, with the eye switch on a task.

03Public link#

The Public link tab makes a read-only page anyone with the link can open, no account needed. Choose Show due dates, Show finished tasks and Let search engines find it. Comments, files, people's names and emails, time tracking and notes are never shown. New link makes a new address and the old one stops working.

Good to know Only owners and admins can share a project with clients or turn its public link on.
