Trello is a great board. Taskift is one board for all of your projects, with timeline, calendar, client guests and AI agents included in a single $5 plan.
Choose Taskift if
- You run several projects or clients at the same time
- You want timeline and calendar without moving to a higher tier
- Clients need to see their own work, free
- You want intake forms that turn requests into tasks
- You want AI agents working on the board next to your team
Stick with Trello if
- Your team runs one or two projects on a single board
- You rely on specific Power-Ups or integrations
- You need a free plan for a small team
- Your team already knows Trello and nothing is broken
Every project on one board
Trello's natural unit is one board per project. Taskift starts from the other end: all your projects sit side by side on one board, each in its own color. Toggle projects on and off, drag a task from one project to another with its history, or open Focus mode to work one project in its own columns.
| Trello | Taskift | |
|---|---|---|
| All projects in one view | One board per project | Yes, side by side |
| Move a task between projects | Move card to another board | Drag, history comes with it |
| Focus on one project | Open its board | Focus mode, own columns and limits |
| Timeline across projects | No | Gantt across every project |
If you work on more than a couple of projects at once, one board saves you the daily tab-hopping.
Views, without the upgrade
On Trello, Timeline, Calendar, Table and Dashboard views are listed on Premium. Taskift has one plan, and every view is in it.
| Trello | Taskift | |
|---|---|---|
| Board | All plans | Included |
| List / table | Premium | Included |
| Timeline (Gantt) | Premium | Included |
| Calendar | Premium | Included |
| Swim lanes | No | Included |
| Reports | Dashboard on Premium | Included |
Same price as Trello Standard, with the views Trello saves for Premium.
Clients and guests
Trello Standard includes single-board guests. A guest on more than one board counts as a multi-board guest and is billed like a member, and multi-board guests are listed on Enterprise. In Taskift, clients join as free guests and see only the projects you share with them.
| Trello | Taskift | |
|---|---|---|
| Guest cost | Multi-board guests are billed | Always free |
| Guest sees | The boards they are invited to | Only the projects you share |
| Internal notes hidden | Separate boards needed | Yes |
If clients are part of how you work, free guests remove a cost you would otherwise weigh every time.
Intake forms
Taskift has native forms. Each answer maps to a task field, submissions can wait for approval, and each form can have its own webhook. Every submission becomes a task in the project you choose.
| Trello | Taskift | |
|---|---|---|
| Native forms | Via Power-Ups | Built in |
| Answers map to task fields | Depends on the Power-Up | Yes |
| Approval before a task is created | No | Yes |
| Per-form webhook | No | Yes |
Requests stop arriving as random emails.
Dependencies, milestones and time
Taskift links tasks with dependencies, marks milestones on the timeline and tracks time on each task, all without add-ons.
| Trello | Taskift | |
|---|---|---|
| Task dependencies | Via Power-Ups | Built in, shown on the timeline |
| Milestones | No | Yes |
| Time tracking | Via Power-Ups | Built in |
| Subtasks | Checklists | Subtasks with their own status |
Planning work with real sequencing does not need a stack of Power-Ups.
AI and agents
Taskift treats an AI agent as a teammate: its own seat, its own scoped token, tasks you can assign it and work you can review on the board. The AI button next to New task also drafts tasks from a plain description, and you review them before they are added.
| Trello | Taskift | |
|---|---|---|
| AI agents as teammates | No agent seats (general API only) | Own seat and scoped token |
| Revoke one agent's access | Revoke the API token | One click, per agent |
| Draft tasks from a description | Varies by plan | Included |
If agents are doing real work for you, they belong on the board where you can see it.

Questions
Is Taskift a Trello alternative?
Yes. Like Trello it is a board of cards you drag between columns. The difference is that every project sits on one board, and views like timeline and calendar are included.
Can I see all my projects on one board?
Yes. That is the core idea. Each project has its own color, you can toggle any of them on or off, and Focus mode opens a single project in its own columns.
Do client guests cost extra?
No. Client guests are always free, and they see only the projects you share with them.
Does Taskift have a free plan?
Not right now. Taskift is $5 per user per month billed annually, or $6 monthly. Early access is open.
