Taskift now works with Google Gemini, as well as Claude and ChatGPT

Google now lets Gemini connect to outside apps, and Taskift is one of them. That makes Taskift a project board you can run from all three big AI assistants: Google Gemini, Claude and ChatGPT. Ask in plain words, and the change lands on your board.

1. What you can ask

Gemini reads your boards, projects and tasks, creates and updates tasks, comments, moves cards and writes notes. It can't delete anything, and it never sees billing, team settings or anyone's sign-in.

2. Connect Gemini in four steps

  1. In Gemini, open Settings & help and pick Connected Apps.
  2. Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app.
  3. Paste https://app.taskift.com/api/mcp and continue.
  4. Sign in to Taskift, pick the workspace, choose Read only or Read & write, and approve.

Google offers custom apps on Gemini with a Google AI Pro or Ultra plan and a personal Google account. Full details are in our Connect AI tools guide.

TipIf Gemini answers that it has no access, tell it to use the Taskift connected app. It then checks the connection and answers from your real board.

3. Every change shows under its name

An AI that edits your work needs a paper trail. In Taskift, everything a connected app does is recorded in the task's activity under the app's name, so Gemini shows as Google next to your teammates. You can see what changed and when, and anything it archives can be brought back. Disconnect any app in one click from your Team page.

4. Pick the assistant you already use

Claude and ChatGPT connect the same way, with Sign in with Taskift and no token to copy. Codex, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code work too. Your team doesn't have to agree on one AI: each person connects the one they like, and the board stays the single place the work lives.
